Zhuhai, China: The World Family Organisation (WFO) has paid special tribute to Her Highness Shaikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, for her pioneering role in supporting the cause of family care.
The tribute came during a special ceremony held on the sidelines of the 10th World Family Summit, currently being held in Zhuhai, China.
Dr Deisi Kusztra, WFO’s President, praised Shaikha Fatima’s efforts towards ensuring family welfare and said, “Shaikha Fatima is not only the Mother of the UAE but of all nations thanks to her efforts in the fields of the family, mother and children’s welfare, both regionally and internationally.”
Mariam Al Roumi, Minister of Social Affairs, received the WFO plaque from Dr Kusztra during the ceremony.
The seventh World Family Summit was held in Abu Dhabi in 2011 at Shaikha Fatima’s behest.
